Istanbul Airport (IST) is around 430 km from Plovdiv. The route crosses the Bulgarian-Turkish border at Kapitan Andreevo and continues along the Maritsa and Trakia motorways; depending on the traffic in Istanbul and the time needed at the border, the journey takes about 6 hours.
A private transfer saves you the change of buses in Edirne or Istanbul and brings you directly from the terminal to your address in Plovdiv, or the other way round. Please have your passports ready for the border crossing.
